We ask that you also help us in this endeavor and give yourself and others space, follow all CDC guidelines. We will do all we can to host a safe and family orientated festival & games. Masks are suggested in any enclosed areas and whenever you feel you should wear one. ![]() WE offer FREE shuttle bus services from the Sayles School in Baltic, CT and also across the street from the Scotland Fire House at 47 Brook Road, Scotland, Ct. WE do offer parking close to the festival grounds BUT you will be parking in corn and hay fields which have been mowed down as close as possible. That all being said, our opening ceremonies will take place at 12 Noon on the Main Parade field. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again and we are trying to offer as much as possible during the time span that you will be visiting our beautiful grounds. This advanced sales does offer a discount for each ticket purchased. PLEASE take note, NO dogs or other pets are allowed on our grounds or parking areas so PLEASE leave your pets at home:):)Īs we get closer to the 2023 festival date we will be offering a on-line advanced ticket sales again as the games come closer so please follows our web and Facebook pages. Our gates will open at 9am for visitors to wander throughout the vendors, band area, watch the Highland Dance competitions and also the Highland Games. ![]() Highland Festival & Games will be held on Sunday, October 8th, 2023. It is ashamed that the TV stations in our state have never felt that a family festival such as ours deserves a reporter and a camera person, even after they have been asked for years to attend. Until then, enjoy the festival, many people have worked very hard to put this wonderful event on. WE HOPE to be able to offer this next year if things work out. Unfortunately, due to the corn lots not being available, we had to cancel a service that we wanted to try out this year which was a wagon ride to/from the corn lots to the gates on a wagon pulled by two beautiful Clydesdale Horses. When you get off the shuttle bus at the festival grounds, please take the time to visit the Scottish Animals and owners who will be there. Take care, be patient and enjoy the shuttle bus rides to and from. PLEASE, also remember to thank your bus driver who also are all going above & beyond to help us keep our festival running. WE HOPE that everyone will utilize the shuttle bus services that are free to and from the festival. Many people in the communities have reached out and offered their lots for us to use for shuttle bus services to our festival. PLEASE be considerate of how and where you park your vehicles. We think that this should cover most of the lost parking issues from the loss of the corn field. The Hilly-Land Winery on Murphy Hill RD has offered the use of their parking area (Feel free to stop in and visit, purchase a bottle or two:):) Margaret's Church at the corner of Brook Rd and Rt 14. We also have parking for the shuttle bus service across from the Scotland Fire House at 47 Brook Rd, Scotland, at the parking lot of the old St. Shuttle Bus Services in the Town of Scotland Right up the road from that is the Sayles School parking lot that we also have use of. On top of this, the Town of Baltic has given us permission to use of the old mill site across from Baltic's River Park on North Main Street. We have permission from the town to utilize this parking area as well. ![]() Right up the road on the same side of the street (next to the school bus lot) is a paved parking area with a covered bus stop. The owner of the old TJ's Restaurant at 191 Main Street in Baltic has given us permission to use his parking lot for our shuttle bus service. We have secured a couple of other parking areas in Baltic which is just down the road from some of the shuttle bus pick up/drop off locations that we will be using. Please be considerate of the lots that you park in, of your bus driver and if it is a business that you are parked at, feel free to do some shopping while there. Many people from the towns of Scotland & Baltic have reached out to ask how to help out and Thank Goodness some of them had parking lots available. Shuttle Bus Services in the Town of Baltic
